Feeder League Rating

I currently have a 16 team league with 10 hs teams and 12 college teams. I figured this would enough to provide talent for the draft going by the formula. The first few seasons were fine. The colleges gave out more developed talent but a bit less potential on most while the high schools gave 5 star potentialk guys but only 1 star current. Now after 7 seasons the talent has dropped dramatically. The last draft had no one over 1 star current rating and the potentials went 4.5, 4, 3 X 6 and then all 2. So basically only a couple of teams are getting players that are useful, everyone else is stuck with weak 2 star players as their "future".

So basically my question is what do I have to do to raise the level of talent coming out of the feeder leagues back up again. I liked it the way it was at the start.

The obvious answer, and only one I can think of, would be to dramatically increase the number of teams in your feeder leagues. With a 16 team league and 20 rounds ammy draft, you would need about 53 feeder teams as a minimum.

Well according to the formula I already have too many teams but I felt it was safer to make more than I needed. But apparently not. I only have 5 rounds by the way.

You have two choices:

1) Increase the number of feeder teams. I know the formula says you have enough, but the draft does not.

2) You can keep the feeders as they are and just increase the Player Creation Modifiers (PCMs) up to probably about 1 (if they are currently set at default).

Pre-edit: I just realized you have 22 feeder teams to support 32 total Professional or associated teams. That's probably not right. Let me look at the formula and get back to you in an edit.

EDITx2: Alright, well you are right about the formula, but here's what I'll tell you: I don't think that formula is always correct. The reason why is because it does provide a base PCM set. I'm assuming that it is set at or close to 1 for all feeders, but I'm not sure. What are your PCM's at the moment?

They are default at 1.00 and 100 randomness. I could up the number of teams which would work but then the trade off is the free agency would get flooded with 1 star guys (more than it is now). The thing that annoys me really is that it was giving me a perfect level for the draft as I described earlier but now its fairly useless.

Sorry I was looking at the development rating things. Ya my PCMs are set to default now.
