How does OOTP handle missing stats on import

Early 1900s stats in the Lahman database don't include things like CS and batters strikeouts. Does OOTP recognize this, or does every batter end up getting created with 8 (2-8 scale) for avoiding K's and stealing bases?

I would think this could be a serious issue for historical replays.

Scruff - Check out the modified Db that Arod23 and I have been working on. We hope to have it up for d-load in the next day or so. We specificaly addressed the issues you mentioned with our DB.

If you read thru it you will eventualy come across the readme files I posted which detail the edis we have made.

stolen base ratings in particularily are very high because of this issue but you get realistic stolen base totals if you lower the league setting for steals to very rarely for the first few seasons. As Garlon mentioned the new database he and ARod are making will solve this issue.
