This guy ALWAYS gets overlooked even though he was in the top of the all time best because of the White Sox throwing the world series way back.

Can you check the career of "Shoeless" Joe Jackson?

Also I'd love to hear about:

1) Ozzie Smith
2) Kent Hrbek
3) Bruce Hurst
4) Todd Worrell
5) Tony Pena

Thanks

Jim

Thanks for answering all the questions. I hope it is at least half as much fun looking it up as it is to read.

How were you able to get the expansion rosters filled with the correct players? When I got to the first expansion, I couldn't change the league structure to add the additional teams until after the historical players were imported for that season.

Here are my queries:

How were the 1919 White Sox? Did they make/win the Series?

Bob Feller's career numbers, and how did the 1995 Indians do?

What teams posted the best/worst single-season W-L records?

The Best team in history was the 1977 Red Sox, they posted an amazing 123-40 record. The worst team was the 2002 Diamondbacks they went 45-117.

The 1919 White sox were 77-63 they didn't make the playoffs.

Bob Feller was a 4 time pitcher of the year, a 10 time All-Star, and a Hall of Famer. He had a 312-239 record, 3.20 ERA and 3606 K's

I would have to go in after I made the teams and physically put all the players on the expansion teams after I created them. Was a pain in the butt, but it got the job done.

How did defensive stats (Total PO, Total assts, and particularly fldg %) fare in your league? Was there any change in defensive stats across different eras in gameplay?

How about Jeff Huson? He played in Nolan Ryan's seventh no hitter and in Cal Ripken's 2131st game...

How did the Diamondbacks do in your history?

Curious to hear about the Phillies record throughout history. I'm curious to hear about a couple players, just to hear what could have been. How about Kevin Stocker, Von Hayes, John Kruk, and Tommy Green.

Thanks for taking so much time to put together this history.

Jeff Huson!! Awesome to hear that name. When I was at my first Cubs game at age 10 or 11 he signed a baseball card for me.

Here is a novel idea: Charlie Hough.

How about Hoyt Wilhelm, Tom Candiotti, Steve Sparks, and Otis Nixon?

I'm curious how the Big Hurt Frank Thomas ended up doing.
EDIT: Also Amos Rusie, even though he probably only played a couple of seasons past 1901.

Now that I'm thinking of pre-1901 players, did Big Ed Delahanty end up dying in 1903 like real life?

actually you can go to game setup and add the expansion teams,(before feb when new database updates) then sim to preseason and it fills the real historical players to the expansion teams, the very few that there are. you'll have to add fictionals to complete the rosters. then sim to preseason to edit the league schedule. done.

I recommend editing the league structure on January 1st, to avoid any possibility of failing to do so before the new players are imported.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you edit the league structure and create a new team, it does not have a historical ID. So, if you're importing rookies from a historical database, you must edit the new expansion teams and add the historical ID of their real life counterparts in the database. Otherwise, those rookies will be imported as free agents and not assigned to their correct teams.

CH, even if we are just having all new players hit the draft or is it if we are having players import to their expansion teams?

I'm curious as to how a couple of guys fared whose first few years were nothing like the dominance of their prime: Sandy Koufax, Eric Gagne. Thanks.
