If I remember correctly Lahman database begins with year players were called up to Majors while Ankit/Gambo begins with year players were signed by a team or drafted.

One snag. Unless something has changed, Lahman will give accurate career stats for everyone right up until the year you started. Ankits has some bogus stats put in based on career norms.

Here you go... Also everyone has arguments as to which is best database. Best way to find out is by doing a test simm with each database and see which one you like best.
