6.5 to 2006

Can u go from 6.5 to 2006?

Also I used 6.5 on PC and got 2006 for MAC is there a way of going from PC to MAC and as well as from from 6.5 to 2006

You can import from 6.5 to 2006.

As far as the PC to MAC...not sure.

You can import 6.5 leagues into OOTP2006 but some text information is lost. In addition, there is currently a bug in the import feature of OOTP2006 that doesn't convert HBP, WP, and Balk ratings over. Hopefully, that will be fixed in the next patch.

question what do I need to import .... not really sure what file to import to get my league in offically

Select New League select the tab that says import 6.12/6.5 league..go to its directory...select the .lg for your league. Now...out of the files listed...select league.dat.

For 6.12/6.5 imports....the league has to be on opening day or it will say Import failed

in the game I have now has no import button for 6.12 or 6.5 ... it might be a faulty game right now since the pacth came out

The OOTPB Manual and Game Guide Thread

It has instructions...

Not too sure about the PC to Mac thing, but if you can get your PC league files onto your Mac, I don't see why not...

I have done that but my game doesn't have the button to import 6.12/6.5 games for some reason, it only had add historical and add fictional leagues

Hmm...missing button???

Don't know what to say to that other than have you tried to reinstall. It should be there.

Once you select New Game from the splash screen....it by default drops you in the Create New Game screen with the Create New Game tab selected.

There should be three buttons just underneath the list of standard leagues.

They should be in this order

Add Historical Major League

Add Fictional League

Import OOTP 6.12/6.5 League

If you don't have those 3 options....you need to unlicense (assuming this isn't the demo) and try to re-install. Sounds like something is missing.

I was shocked that it wasn't fixed in this one. That's a big issue for some people.

I did do that but its still not there ... I did it last night ... also I am on the MAC version so that could be it too?

1. You're on a Mac.

2. You have the latest patch.

3. When you start up the game, and select New Game, you get the screenshot you posted, with no "Import 6.12/6.5 League" option.

Am I understanding this correctly?

This is totally bizarre! I just noticed the same thing, the lack of an import button, and I could've sworn it was there in previous builds.
