Why don't any of my HoF have AS appearances?
Simming 100 years in my 48-team ML with four levels of minors, and after 35 years, I notice my HoF has 2 players with 1 All-Star appearance.
I have auto-schedule AS game checked, my custom schedule file has the following line ... {SCHEDULE type="ILN_BGN_G166_SL1_D1_T8_D2_T8_D3_T8_SL2_D1_T8 _D2_T8_C_" inter_league="0" balanced_games="0" games_per_team="166" start_day_of_week="2" start_month="3" start_day="23" allstar_game_day="103"} (I've replaced the ">" and "<" with "}" and "{" so the board doesn't think I'm posting html) but I can't find a single AS game after the first season. Whazzup? Edit: Patched ...

bump
My schedule isn't generating an all star game. Please, can I have an answer why, or a TT?

One last bump before I cross post to the General Forum for more traffic ...
reiterating: The game isn't generating an all-star game into my custom schedule despite being patched, having both AS options checked in the rules, the correct syntax in my custom schedule's file header, and no cross-scheduling (no other games scheduled on day 103 (102 or 104, either)).

Two sub-leagues, 3 divisions of 8 teams each. AAA, AA, A, and Rookie Leagues also added, with 1 team in each minor associated with 1 team in the ML, directly corresponding ... i.e. SL1_D1_T1 has AAA_SL1_D1_T1, AA_SL1_D1_T1, A_SL1_D1_T1, and R_SL1_D1_T1 associated with it. I'm presuming names don't matter, but FYI anyway, each ML-through-R organization is in one lower-48-US state.
Rules: No DH anywhere.Options: Detail: Very High (ML), Normal (AAA), Low (everywhere else)The Strategy & Equiv. tab has both "automatically adjust/import": true, and the General Tendencies section changes every 20 years, and should be irrelevent. Started yearly - year+ sims in 1905, league date now 2-13-1960. I got an all-star game in 1905, not once since. That should be it ... need more, let me know.

Built as near duplicate as possible. Simmed. And got results that were similiar.
It was slow simming, but I got enough to tell me something is wrong and I flagged it as a bug. Current patch testing has started. Initial tests are on memory mgmt and speed. I am not one who has seen issues with either, but judging by the new build, it is HOLY COW. In the time it took to type this posting, I went from Jan 1st 1976 to June 22nd, 1976. Ah, now I will have to go through a billion more rounds of patch candidates and see what gets cleaned up vs what is in Test Track. Last edited by Raidergoo; 06-17-2006 at 08:57 AM. |

I've made changes to the schedule files for seasons w/o ASG (1901-1932 plus 1945). Tested again with the current code.
- Loaded a 1977 historical league and simulated three years. Each year had the correct ASG date as defined in the schedule files, and the game have been played. - Loaded a 1903 league and simmed some years. No ASG have been scheduled. In the league options, "Hold ASG" has been checked, but the schedule file overrides this setting. The schedule files now contain the setting allstar_game_day="0". - Attention, if you come to the 1904 season, the schedule file will NOT be used, because the number of games per team is 140 in your league (if a league prior 1904 has been loaded) and the 1904 schedule file has a number of games per team of 154. So you have to stop in pre-season, set the number of games per team to 154 on the league options page, and load the 1904 schedule file. - Loaded historical league starting 1932. No ASG date has been scheduled. Simmed until 1933, and had an ASG on July 6th. - Created fictional league (Two sub-leagues, 3 divisions of 8 teams each, "hold ASG" checked) and it had an ASG scheduled and played.

And, nevermind my PM ... I misread the allstar_game_day="0" bit. Thought you had added a new setting, not just accepting a new value. Thanks.
