That sure is a lot of Nobodies...
Appatently in OOTP-world the surname Nobody is more common than Smith. In my current historical/fictional blend league there are 69 of them! There are 30 or so Smiths, and maybe 20 Joneses to compare the generated rate of this name...
This is post-patch.

FWIW, all seem to be American or Latin in origin.

This is a bug that was supposed to have been fixed in the patch.
See here, Update on "Nobody" I know I saw alot of the same thing, I just edited there last names. When you say post patch, is this from a league created post patch or was it from a league you started before the patch and perhaps they were already there? |

I saw the same thing in the demo from an imported 6.5 league. The problem seems to be that when I import our league and create the minors (no autofilling), the game apparently generates new players. I'm getting all these random nobody's and I can't find similar first names in the 6.5 league. I just imported the same league I've been working with and I get about 10 Joe Nobodys, Calvino, and about 20 other random names (mostly foreign sounding names, but many are from America).
None of these players are in the majors, and maybe one in AAA. The majority seem to be in A ball. Why does the game generate all these new players when I'm importing a league? Is it because I have to create the minor leagues and that's where it's adding some players? This needs some looking into.

Same thing has been reported here: Joe Nobody's
That's exactly how my imported league looks when I add minor leagues.

This was an imprted Lahmann league generated post-patch.
I created the league, added the minor levels and the game auto-filled the minors.

Usually the "nobody" gets added when the game can't read the names files. Have you edited them or tried to do anything with them?

It creates the players to fill gaps, because all teams must have full rosters, even in the minors. The ratings are low, so they supposedly don't affect the balance of an existing league. It's just the fact that they are named "Nobody" that is the problem. That was supposedly fixed in the first patch.
