Draft pick value

I'm not entirely sure this is a bug but...

I was looking to unlaod a player, and though my major league team is great I have very little talent in the minors, so I was going to attempt to trade the ML player & my 1st Rd pick (30th) for a higher 1st round pick (approximately 12th). I first entered the other team's pick into the draft cue, then selected my pick & before I could even put in my ML player, the other team's GM said they would make the deal. Shouldn't the AI know that the 12th pick is better than the 30th pick?

I know that a lot of NFL GMs use a system in which each pick has a value attached to it. Shouldn't/doesn't the AI have a similar system? Thanks

Markus has claimed that this issue will be fixed in 1.0.3. However, we have not yet received a test version of 1.0.3 with which to verify.
