Multiple release/signings post patch

Had not seen this particular bug until installation of latest patch. A player is released and then signed by the same team, multiple times. If another team signs the player, the cycle stops and he is not released. Enclosed (hopefully!) is an example:

Is this exclusively MR's or a variety of positions?

The only position I've seen at this point is pitcher. The cycle is always (to this point anyway) one team and one pitcher. Once another team claims him, he is no longer repeatedly signed and released.
