Imported 6.5 league slow

I have a league thats run from v4, and when i imported it into 2006, it runs really slow.I have the imported league+ all the minors. Now, simming a regular inseason day takes 30-45 secs. It seems to stop for a long time after it sims all the games and then OOTP is "not responding" until it starts to sim the next day.

Also, the offseason and preseason are incredibly slow. It took me 10 mins to sim through february. I cant figure it out, I dont want to start the league over, but its not very fun waiting for it to sim that long.

New leagues sim much much faster than this, so it doesnt sim to be my machine. I have:
Athlon XP 1600+
1 GB DDR 400 RAM

Anyone else have these issues?

I have recently imported a 6.12 league and have the same issue. The game sims are quick, there is just a terribly long pause after the last game gets done and it reads 100.0% and then advancing to the next day.

It is best described as hurry up and wait.

Any other sim is very quick with no hesitation.

I tried an second import of the 6.12 dat file. Same result. I tried an uninstall / reinstall, then imported the 6.12 dat file again. Same result.

I've ran bigger leagues, with 5 levels of minors, instead of the three here, and gotten better speed.
