Small PbP error

I couldn't get the actual PbP screen, but it did have the catcher picking up the ball on a slow roller in front of the plate and throwing it to himself for a force out at home (the bases were loaded).
I don't know if this has been reported yet.

albatross:

I got an "invalid attachment" message when I clicked on the link.

The play is a rare one (duh), and I don't think there's a category in the text database that describes a force out at the plate--which means that some of the text in the PbP message is taken from hard-coded text. If you have more information (such as whatever's in that attachment), can you post it here?

Sorry about that M's. Here's the attachment. I am using the latest patch.
The PbP went something like "Deras (catcher's name) pounces on the slow roller. He has a chance for a forceout at the plate. He fires it to Deras...etc."

Thanks, albatross.

The only messages including “slow roller” in the text database on plays involving the catcher end with the catcher throwing to first to retire the batter.

The phrase “has a chance” does not appear in the database. That’s further proof of the fact that many of the PbP lines in this sequence are pulled from hard-coded text rather than from the database.

The best we can do is report this to Markus and hope he takes a look at it. I will enter this information into TestTrack tonight.

Thanks, M's -

No problem. I was just pointing it out.
