Unhappy DL bug possibly

I want to put a pitcher on the active roster who has completed 15 days (probably more) on the DL, but still has 2 days left on his injury. I could do this easily in v6.51 but OOTPBB 2006 says, "This player is not yet eligible to come off the DL. He is still injured". He has completed his DL time I should be able to move him.

I want to slot him in for a start in 3 days. This is an online league.

IRL players come off the DL all the time before they are ready to go. Why is OOTPBB 2006 different this time around.

I've had the same problem, and it would be nice if this was changed. but I don't know if it is a bug, or if it is intentional.

I agree, you should be able to activate him if his DL time has expired. Shouldn't matter if he is still hurt or not.

Bump

I'd like some response even if it is not what I want to hear.

Just as a guess, this might have something to do with the complaints Marcus was getting (including from me) about the AI not taking into account players' injury status when setting rotations, lineups and depth charts.

Under 1.02 I had problems every single day with the computer overriding my lineups, etc. and assigning injured players to play in games, then subbing for them because they were injured. This resulted in totally inadequate players batting third or fourth, or becoming the new number one in my rotation. Marcus corrected that for 1.03, and in correcting it may have created this new problem.

Rchw,

I am going to move this to the OOTP 2007 Wishlist forum. This is not really a bug and is working as designed, therefore I think it would be best as a suggestion to change for 2007.

This should have been fixed a long time ago. I guess it's too late now, though.

This is definitely a bug, and it's a bad one for online leagues. Suppose your ace starter has done his DL time, but he still has a day of injury time left. If you can't put him back on the Active Roster prior to your league running a week's worth of games, then he's going to miss a start he shouldn't have. It's even worse for every day players.

Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams

Sorry, I didn't even think about this in an online league context. I have logged this issue for 2007 as TT#58. Thanks.
