Shop Player Glitch

I just discovered why maybe people are having problems with shop player function. I just started a new league and shop player was working, but after coming off of commisioner mode it no longer is available. I try everthing moving ahead one day etc. When you go to the trade screen the shop player function will not allow you to drag and drop the player and after three tries tells you no more today.

When you disable Commish mode, are you still the GM of a specific team? You can't see trade options unless you are the manager of a team or Commish using "act as".

I am having the same problem, and I have made sure that I am no longer the commish but just a gm. I don't have the option to shop player and the buttons such as untouchable or on the block are now located in the scouting link which I believe is wrong. I also tried to go to the roster screen and drag and place a player in the top box to shop them around, however, the player never appears in the box when I drag them and after three attemtps using different players it says I have used all my shop a players for the day. I tried in another game for kicks and had the same problem.

Not sure if this is the issue but you can only shop 3 players per day I believe it is.

I am having the same problem. I am not in commissioner mode and yes, I am the GM of the team in question.

I drag and drop player into the box and nothing happens. No offers...Player is not shown in the box. I repeat this twice more with same results. I try again and I am told that I can only shop 3 times each day.

Help!

I had the exact same problem my first day with the game ... looks like a bug, since it's now being reported by other people.

My original thread:
Shop Player - I'm doing something wrong ...

I tried the function in a seperate league, and found it was working fine there; so for me, it was league-specific.

Here's how I got around it:

* Turned on Commissioner mode
* Acted as another team
* Tried to shop one of their players ... it WORKED
* Acted as my own team again
* Turned OFF Commissioner mode

Please try that, to see if it makes your league act normally again!

Thanks JimGalaxy! Your suggestion did the trick!

There is a bug lurking somewhere there for sure. I think bosunmate is correct in the assumption that this bug is linked to coming off commissioner mode. It worked as advertised before I went into and exited commissioner mode for the first time and then was 'broken' after that.

This is a work a round I found that helps. Just before you turn off Commisioner mode make sure you click Act as for whatever team you are managing. Then turn off Commish and go to your lineup and you will be able to Shop player. Hope this works for everyone else having problems with Shop Player feature.

Fantastic!! Glad it also worked for others. Needs to be logged as a bug if it hasn't already, though.

Used the "workaround" and everything is good again. There does seem to be an issue that hopefully gets resolved.

The work around discussed has nothing to do with getting rid of the 3 a day shop rule. Has to do with those of us that NEVER get to use the feature because everyday it claims we've already shopped 3 that day.

my game just crashes when trying to shop a player on my team. I tried the workaround and I can get it to work while acting as another team, but when I go back to my team it still crashes to the desktop.
