changing nations.txt on macintosh

Has anyone else run into this problem?
I have been trying to add a nation to the nation.txt list.
I have followed the instructions in the customization guide to the letter and the revised list looks fine once i've editted and saved it, but the new nation simply does not appear in the list of available nations when I start the program and try to create a new game.

I've checked over the change I made dozens of times and can not figure out what might be wrong.

I was able to do this in 2006 quite easily and so i can't see why I should have this much trouble in 2007.

Not being on a Mac, it'd be difficult to help here. Have you searched the Mods forums? There may be some information on this already floating around.

Thanks Fidel,

I have checked the mods field without much luck. This seems to me to be a macintosh specific problem.

I did find a workaround by creating a small league without minors or feeder league in 2006, saving it and then importing it into 2007.

The nation info, flag, and new cities all appear in the 2007 game which I'm now modifying to create my world.
