I suddenly had control of both teams

Mac, 2.0.1.43

At some point during a game, I was offered defensive options when my team was at bat. I ignored it and played on. When I noticed that the pitcher for the computer-managed team had thrown a LOT of pitches, and was not being pulled, I went to the substitutions page for the opposing team, and changed their pitcher for them. I'm not supposed to be able to do that.

For the rest of that game, the computer-managed team made no substitutions, even in an obvious pinch hit situation. It expected me to make the moves. I was in control of both teams.

This happened to be the deciding game of the world series. My team won the world series, and probably wouldn't have if the AI had been on duty.

bump.
This seems like a fairly serious bug, and I didn't imagine it. It really happened.

This is the only time this ever happened to you when playing out a game?

As far as I can remember, this was the only time.

And you are certain that you don't have commish functions enabled?

I did have commish enabled, as I always do, but that should not cause the computer-manager to cease managing in mid game, and relinquish control of its team to me. I should not be able to make a substitution for the opposing team during a game.

But if you are in commish mode you can take control of any team in other parts of the game. I wonder if that had an effect on this.

I don't play out games so I'm not a good person to log this issue. It would be nice if someone who plays games out could jump in here and give us some insight.

As commish, I could go into "Options" during a game, and take control of the opposing team, if I want to. The problem here is that it happened without my doing that.

It's not something that you'd inadvertently do; you have to select the Options tab, and then select yourself from any or all of four dropdown lists to control each of the various aspects of the other team's game. I definitely did not do that.

I'm wondering if there might be some undocumented keyboard command that implements this. Maybe I accidentally hit some key combination that put me in control of both teams?
