No personnel and can't create more

In the off season after three seasons of a fictional modern league, I noticed when trying to replace a departed Class A Head Scout, that I had no available personnel to choose from. No scouts, no doctors, no coaches, nada. So I switched over to a commissioner manager and tried to create some, and the only ones that can be created are hitting coaches and managers. If I create a pitching coach, bench coach, scout, head scout, or doctor, nothing happens. I can edit all the hitting coaches and managers and repurpose them to other roles, but it's kind of a pain. Any ideas?

It may seem like nothing is happening. They should be showing up at the bottom of the list. Try adjusting the "views" and check again. Let us know if you still can't find them.

Whoops, didn't notice that someone had actually responded

It's not that I can't find them, and it's not the views, trust me. The only personnel that actually get created are hitting coaches and managers.

Strange. I haven't noticed this issue. Can you put your league file where I can take a look at it? Then post back here to let me know where it is.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing. More importantly, you're not seeing what I'm seeing. Here's a look at what I see inside your game...

412 "available personnel"

414 available after I created one pitching coach and one bench coach...

OK I found the problem and it's pilot error, but I think UI design could be improved to keep people from making the same mistake. I had a custom filter set that was filtering out most all the personnel. But because I hadn't saved the filter, the filter dropdown menu still said "Filter:None" so that I didn't realize I had one on.

It's only after comparing your screenshot to my own screen and trying to find anything different that I noticed the text underneath, where it said, "Coach Ratings View - Custom Filter (not saved) - Preferred Occupation: All Coaches".

So thanks very much for the help and sorry it was sort of a waste of your time -- but that dropdown menu behavior could definitely be improved

I logged a request to change the "Filter: None" text to "Filter: Unsaved" as TT 3604.
