patch suggestion regarding League News

I have three complaints about the League News screen, all of which, I hope, should be easy to deal with.

1. The Filter, in my experience, does not work. I would like to read All Transactions, but when I try, no messages show up at all.

2. Deleting old News items is an incredible pain in the neck. I have to delete them one at a time; I have to answer "Yes, I'm Sure" every single time; and every single time, I am sent back to the most recent message and have to scroll down (which is an issue because I'm not deleting everything, for reasons outlined in #3 below). I'm midway through season two, and have over 700 League News items. I probably want to delete 500+ of them: this is going to take hours of my life if I actually do it, which I may not. Does that sound like fun to you?

3. My Almanac, when it saves a year on December 31st, only saves the News from after the season ends -- nothing from during the season.

I'm using the second patch, 2.0.2.53, yes, and I am discussing it. It's the one I was pointed to in the "Vanishing Cash" thread, which was closed because I can't answer the question I was asked -- I won't be able to answer until my third season, which won't be for another month or so.

Oh, hang on: I generated the Almanac prior to the second patch, so about point #3, I don't know if it's been fixed.

Of note, moderators will gladly re-open any closed threads that you need further help with. Please understand that there are hundreds of Tech Support threads abandoned by users that we need to clear out of the way in order to make sure that we answer the questions of those still interested in hearing answers.

The Almanac one - I'm not clear. Do you mean the claim/complaint itself is not supported? In that case, I'm able to answer your question above now: it is still a problem using the second patch. Sorry - by the time I knew that, I'd forgotten how to find this thread.

I think that he's saying that he can't or won't fix it. It may be a problem with how long you are saving your news stories, though. Are you only keeping them for one season? If so, they may get deleted once per year, when the season ends. By the time your almanac goes to save them, they have already been deleted per your other settings.

I'm not at my home computer at the moment, but I believe that there is a setting to keep news stories for more than one season. Maybe that would solve your issue?
