Problems With Diversity of Draft Pool After Patch

Please see this thread for more detail:

Amateur Draft Pool Problems After Patch?

Version: 2.0.2
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? Participating in the amateur draft.
What happened? After the patch, the draft pool has shifted from ~80% foreign to ~90% domestic.
Reproducible? Yes. Annually in game.
Problem occurs with other leagues? Unsure. Have not tested.

Please advise on possible solutions.

How quickly do you play through your league? Will you be able to see if the next amateur draft uses the correct settings? It's possible that since you changed the settings in the middle of the season that the old ones were used when creating that year's players.

Good point. Lately, I've been blazing through pretty quickly. It's a midseason draft, and I just completed the post-season for the current year. I'll see if I can get back 'round to it tonight.

Does that mean for certain that the foreigner percentages dictated in the minor leagues are what affects the draft pool?

And thank you for a quick response, Nutlaw.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I hadn't thought so, but I don't know what else would be causing this behavior.

I'm not 'back around' yet, but the only other variable I can think of (that's potentially obvious) is that I deleted my feeder leagues about four seasons ago (after two seasons - I'm now through six seasons).

Not sure why the effect would've been delayed two seasons, or if the patch triggered it.

In any case...I'll report back after I make it back around.

Hrm. Yeah, maybe it's a possibility. Let us know.

No dice. Still at ~90% Mexican. This is frustrating. Especially in my primary (in this case only) solo league.

How can I change the diversity of the draft pool at this point?

I'm very sorry, enuttage, but I can't reproduce this problem. I created a new fictional Mexican league and have no problems getting proper draft pools generated for whatever foreigner percentage I set, be it 10%, 80%, or 90%.

There is something unusual about your particular league that I cannot figure out. If you wouldn't mind FTPing a zip file of your .dat files to us and letting us know what the filename is per the instructions in the link below, I can log this for the developers to look at. Thanks.

How to FTP Files to Us

Since this is already a logged issue, I don't feel as though I'm thread hijacking (I AM hijacking — I just don't feel as though I am).

"Hrm." Nutlaw, are you British? The only person other than you who I ever see using that expression is a girl from Manchester.

Even with the file that I sent?

Ugh. Thanks, Nutlaw. I really appreciate the follow up.
