Shopping Player issue

The first time I used the shopping player feature it worked for 3 players (which I know know it's supposed to.). However, it has not worked since. I'm more than a season past that point and it still says "No More than 3 players can be shopped in a day." Starting to get real annoyed.

I have played OOTP through many versions, but since the 2006 version I have had nothing but trouble. Very disappointing. I can see the 2007 version IS definitely better than last year's.

Which version of the game are you using?

Are you playing out the game in the mean-time during that year of simming, or are you merely staying on the shop player screen and simming days? If the latter, try leaving the shop player screen for a while and sim a day from another screen, then go back to the shop player screen.

Playing the 2007 version with the most recent update. No, not staying in the player shopping screen. I check the player shopping screen every month or two of game time to see if it has decided to work yet.

Just so we're all on the same page, you're right-clicking on the Player's name, selected Trade Options, then Shop Player Around? That's how you're getting to the function and it's, what, not responding at all or giving you the "No More than 3 players can be shopped in a day" message?

Sometimes, but usually I just go to Transactions under the League links, click on Player Trade and then to Shop Player. I've tried getting to the screen both ways with the same result.

Shop Player Glitch

I was having the same problem and one of the board members listed a work around. I have not had a problem since - I hope it helps

Oh, good catch. Supposedly that workaround should do it for you.

TT 3381 as mentioned there.

Please try that, to see if it makes your league act normally again!

Darn it, the work around doesn't work either. Have tried like 10 times, trying from various screens, but more of the same. Annoying as hell. I played OOTP for 4 or 5 years (real time) w/o ever running into bugs, and now I haven't had a league in the last 2 years that HASN'T had a bug.
