Trade during playoffs with player being put on playoff roster

AFAIK this is not legal, if wrong someone can correct me.

Angels are in the playoffs Arizona is not. First playoff game was played by the Angels on Oct 3. then on Oct 4 Ariz. trades a SP and RP to the Angels.

Traded 25-year old first baseman T. Henthorn to the Arizona Diamondbacks, getting 25-year old reliever J. Briggs and 24-year old starting pitcher L. Parvin in return.

Parvin was put on the DFA but Briggs went to the playoff roster during an on-going series. It looks like Wainright was the guy removed from the playoff roster to make room for Briggs, and no he is not injured.

I know OOTP doesn't use the Sept 1 rule for playoff rosters so a trade could be made in Sept with the player getting on the playoff roster. However there should be no way for this to happen during the playoffs, either a team trading a guy that is currently involved in the playoffs or getting a guy and being able to put him on their playoff roster. Also a I don't believe a team can make any changes during a series (perhaps with the exception of injury?).
