Separating Stats by League for Individuals

I have a pitcher that was traded from the NL to the AL. IRL, the numbers would start over, since he's in a new league. As I'm playing right now, he still is credited with his NL numbers in the AL.

For example in his first game in the AL, he loses. However when you look at the game his record shows 4-5, still counting his NL record of 4-4.

I apologize if this has been brought up before. Perhaps it was addressed in a patch that I haven't updated to? I'm using the 2.0.0.37 version.

Thanks!

I'm not immediately sure. Could you try upgrading to the latest patch and letting us know if you still see this behavior?

Nutlaw,

I upgraded to the most recent patch I could find (2.02.2.53). It still is doing the same thing when I look at the schedule. Here's an example I worked up for you.

The pitcher in question was 6-0 with 2.26 ERA in Seattle prior to my trading him (just using the default MLB setup with fictional players, no changes to anything). I traded him to San Diego, then simmed forward about 10-14 days so that he could have a couple starts (he won 1 and lost 1). Now he is scheduled to pitch again after 2 NL starts, but his record shows as 7-1 with a 1.94 ERA on the schedule.

I don't think it's a huge deal for most people, but for someone that uses the probable starters in their online dynasty (like me, for instance) it will be a bit of a pain in the rear to have to look up the stats from the player's individual stat page if I want to continue including the probables in my report.

Thanks for your help!

Okay, thanks. I've logged this as TT 3704.

Thumbs down

Okay, just sticking my unwanted two cents in here.

RoyalsBlue is absolutely correct about how the major league rule works, but this is one that I hope Markus doesn't fix, because the rule is stupid. Why do they start stats over when switching leagues, but not when changing teams within a league? They should either start fresh in both situations or in neither, and mark me down for 'neither'.

I like the way Markus has it now.
