Invisible Teams

I am trying to make a historical League and have spent hours typing in team names, changing stadiums, putting uniforms into it and so forth....when I went to test it, it gets to opening day and gives me the message (Clifton has an illegal number of players on the roster (0) ). I have no team named Clifton in the universe, they do not show up when I do a search....I have tried all the options I found in threads here. Turning on ghost players, setting the computer to manage all teams. But nothing is working....I do not want to go back through all the work I did getting this universe set up, again. Is there anything that I can do to get rid of this "invisible" team?

BTW this has happened in another of my leagues but I was able to get around it with the fixes people mentioned that time, but it's not working in this league. It is definaltely something that needs to be corrected in a patch or something, I think.

Thanks

Brian

Since you mentioned previously posted workarounds this is probably something you've already checked out, but is there any chance Clifton was in a league that you deleted early in the creation process?

Yes I would imagine it is.... It's a league I am starting in 1901 and using all the "minor league" teams that were around at that time. So I made many minor leagues and then deleted sub divisions and teams as needed to make the leagues have the correct number of teams

Try looking in this thread to see if it matches your problem:

Stuck on June 2nd

Okay, I see that your issue has nothing to do with phantom scheduled games. The presence of phantom teams caught my eye as a possible parralel.

I believe that this is related to the issue linked above, TTed as 3641.
