Manager issue....

When playing solo fictional I have noticed that if I play as GM and manage a team that there is also an entry in the history file for a "2nd Manager". Created a 8 team league and noticed 9 names in the report with one with the same record as me. Clicked on the name and his record was as the manager of my team.....

Also noticed that with coaches off, managers/coaches will be created but just not listed in the personnel reports. The manager will then be listed in the manager history report. But these managers are never replaced and a new manager is not created when the old dies, retires or however they leave the league. I simmed 50 years of history and all the managers retired by this time but the history file only had manager records for the 9 original managers.

Don't know if this is a bug, but it is an anoyance. Would like to see the game have a new manager named when the old is gone....


In 6.5 I had a spreadsheet that created new manager names and number of years that the manager will manage for my fictional leagues. I hope that I don't need to go this route again. Also with coaches and scouts off is it even possible to assign a manager to the team without creating "human managers"?

The issue with managers being listed in the manager history even when coaches are turned off was TT 3667, marked unsupported or impossible.

When you turn coaches off, basically what happens is that the game freezes and hides them in many places. If you briefly turn coaches on, you can edit them (presumably hire and fire, or just fire) before turning coaches back off.

Whenever the human user acts as a GM, his records are kept alongside his manager. This is working as designed, and previous requests to change the design have not been agreed with.
