Exclamation Interesting glitch

I apologize if this has been mentioned before. I have not frequented the fourms much lately.
</o>
I am playing a solo fictional league. I decided that in order to prevent a large number of young players burning thru their option years I would set the Spring Training and September call-ups to just 30 player rosters. I am not able to call-up any more that 30 players for my major league roster. However, the computer owned teams have anywhere from 36-40 players on their major league rosters. Interestingly this is only during Spring Training and not in September. All computer owned teams are at 30 players during September.

Anybody else encounter this problem?

Maybe. How are you trying to promote your players? If you are doing it from a menu list and not dragging and dropping from the Transaction screen, could you try the latter? Please let us know how that works.

I saw this with an independent league I set up. I think their roster limit was also 30 players, but in spring training those teams would carry 60 guys.

I'm working my way thru the playoffs right now. I'll try once spring training hits.

OK it did it again this spring.

I can promote players either way up to the 30 player limit I have set in the league settings. But not beyond this limit.

The issue is not with my owner controled team I am able to promote and carry 30 players on my roster (but not more than 30) just like my settings say. However, the computer opponenets are carrying 38,39 and even 40 players. It even says on the transactions screen 38/30 or 40/30 for those teams. For whatever reason the settings will not recognize the lower number or players I have specified in the settings and allows only computer controled teams to call-up players beyond the 30 man limit I have set in the settings.

Huh. Just to verify, you set this 30-man roster limit before the pre-season started? Your secondary roster is set to 40 players? Could it be that the computer is using the secondary roster limit while you are using the expanded roster limit during Spring Training?

I don't see a setting for Spring Training roster limits. There is a setting for expanded rosters (September) and a setting for secondary rosters (40-man). You have them set to 30 and 40, respectively?

I verified this myself with a test league. In Spring Training, the active roster for human controlled teams is limited by the expanded roster limit size, but the AI is allowed to exceed the expanded roster limit and fill their active roster up to their secondary roster limit.

This has been marked as something to address in the next full release of the game.

Sorry I didn't get back to you but you are correct on all accounts.

Thanks again.

Thanks for catching it.

I'm sure that it won't be a tough one to fix for the next version. We just didn't get it reported with enough time to spare.
