Free cuts?

In addition to my post about finances below (plug) I still say the finances are buggy I just noticed that one of my GMs cut a player on January 1st and wasn't charged. I think 2 players in fact. Has anyone else noted this?

12-31-2022 Signed a 2-year contract worth a total of $6,360,000 with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

Dodgers finances

They have $0 in expenses. Maybe the banks are closed New Years day, but I wonder if anyone else noticed no $$ taken out during the offseason.

I'm the one cutting them. I cut the 2nd player this sim and exported (Jan 10), so it hasn't shown up on the Commish's file.

But this 2nd player also didn't change my financial situation at all, except that I now have more cap space to bid on FAs. I still have $0 player expenses.

This 1B should have cost me $2.5 for this season's salary, his last year on the contract.

I've seen this sort of behavior in the past. You are using the final patch?

The guy only had one year left on his contract? Could you run a test and try cutting some more players (on a copy that you won't export)? If you cut any player with one year left, is no money charged? If you cut any player with two years left, are you only charged for the second year? If you cut any player with three years left, are you only charged for the second and third years?

I'll try this, though I'm the commish, so maybe I should do it in a copy of the league...

We are using the final patch.

It appears you get a free year! I wish the upgrade actually contained fixes.
