Player Payroll Amount on Front Office Page

In every one of the leagues I'm playing in (I have three going), the player payroll amount on the front office page does not match the total I get when I manually add up the total salary - scouting is turned off for this game.

It's January in my sim season, I have not released any players since before January 1st or anything like that, and here's what it says on my front office screen:

Staff Payroll $2,295,400
Player Payroll $74,394,772

When I manually add up the team salaries of all the players in the organization, I get a total of $74,014,772 or a difference of one minimum salary player. Other teams are off by different amounts and not necessarily that $380,000 amount.

Moreover, the average player salary on the front office screen is correct and matches what I get when I divide my $74,014,772 by the 30 players who have salaries in my organization (the front office screen correctly lists this total as $2,643,385 average salary).

Interestingly, when I click on the player salary report, it gives me the same total that I get manually which it lists as $74.0 million and not the total it's giving me on the front office screen.

Related to this bug, I'm in January of sim year 2008 and the player salary report shows the correct salaries for 2008 in the first column but lists the header as "2007" at the top and then the 2008 column contains the 2009 salaries and so on...

I searched through the logged issues and couldn't find this exact bug already reported so wanted to be sure you knew about it. Please forgive if it's a duplication.

Have you made any trades, signed any free agents or signed or fired staff during the season?

Jays Fan, I don't believe that what you are seeing is a bug. If your numbers vary by exactly one league minimum contract, then you have likely promoted one player with a minor league contract to your active roster. That player won't officially get a major league contract until (the end of?) Opening Day. Your Player Payroll total is projecting how much you will be spending if you don't demote that player before that time, but the salary report isn't stating that he is absolutely owed that money because you can still demote him.

Can you verify that you have one such player with a minor league contract on your active roster?

I haven't fired anyone but that's at least a good possibility about the minor league contract player being active - Will have to check that when I'm back at the other computer. Hate to have wasted space if that turns out to be the solution, it will be great news.

Well that does seem to half solve it as there is a player on my 25-man roster with a minor league contract. Still, the other issue is worth mentioning and that is that the years are incorrectly labeled in the salary report. In my other league, I noticed this seems to correct itself after Opening Day but from the end of the season all the way until March, it will list the previous year as the header but the salaries listed are for next year. Thanks for the apparent solution to the other problem though!

The Player Salaries report issue of displaying a year behind during the off-season has been logged as BZ 324.
