BZ 1511: Multiple GMs

If you look at the personnel report below, you'll see Rafael Vazquez listed as a general manager of my team. However, that person has never been a GM on my team. My actual and only GM is Jim Smith. I actually tested this on every league I have started (and has been many) and this Rafael person is ALWAYS listed as a GM along with my actual GM. This only happens on HUMAN owned teams.

I believe the person is a place holder and doesn't actually serve a purpose. Logged as BZ#1511. I should note you can change the human manager name from Jim Smith.

Thanks...your probably right about the placeholder, but I would think he should disappear when your GM takes over or after the first year. That person stays on the report forever from what I can tell. Also, I'm aware about changing my GM name, but when testing things I'm lazy in performing too many edits

We have been told that this is due to the use of Act As to manage the team.

Could you clarify that a bit? Am I doing something wrong and is there something I can do on my end to correct? Or is this a bug?

Sure thing, and no, this isn't a bug as far as we know at this point.

On the Manager Home Page, you ought to be clicking on the "Check Job Openings" option and "Apply as GM" or "Apply as Manager" for any team that you wish to run. Simply using the "Act As" dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen will not truly let you run the team. That function is simply for quick changes.

The only way I have assigned myself as a manager to the team is when I first created the league when it gives me a chance. Does me creating it at this point put me in 'Act as' mode?

No, it should work just fine there. You aren't even in commish mode?

Nope, not in commish mode at all. Here are the steps:

1) Create a new league
2) During creation, I assign myself to the Pirates
3) I immediately go into the personnel report and there it lists the other GM.

Pretty much all the time.

Same result with fictional league. Happens to me very time, so hopefully repearable for the developer.

One thing that I did notice, this only happens if I take over any major league team (both fictional and real). If I originally assume a manager role on minor league team, the issue does not show up.

Okay, I looked through your files and then tried it myself in a new MLB league. You are doing everything right and the game has a bug. I'll re-open it.
