BZ 1538: Scroll Bars Not 'Sticking' (Mac/PC)
Release version.
I thought this issue was stomped last year, but I guess it's back. Maybe it's just been overlooked in the Mac version. Anytime you shop a player for a trade, if you click on a player on the right-hand list and then click back, it takes you back to the beginning of the list. It does this on most screens where the scroll bar is available. edit: The schedule page is the other page where this is pretty obnoxious. *Very* annoying. Makes shopping a player around (especially a higher caliber one) much more painstaking than it should be.

I'm going to piggyback here, rather than start my fourth thread. Again, these problems are from the Mac version:
In addition to the 'not sticking' problems that enuttage mentioned, there's still the problem (held over from 2006) that when you go to a screen (other than by back spacing) with so many players on it that you need to scroll down, the scroll bar automatically starts at the bottom instead of the top. This is most prominant on the player search and free agent search pages, but it sometimes crops up elsewhere. I may be wrong, but I thought this last problem had been corrected in one of the 2007/8 rebuilds: The game doesn't remember settings from different screens. For example, If I'm looking at the pitching page and have the pitching ratings data up, then go to the lineup page, instead of remembering that the last info screen on that page was batting ratings, I'm looking at the pitching ratings for my batters. As part of the same problem, every time I go to the roster page other than by backspacing, it resets itself to 'all players', instead of staying on the pitchers, batters second basemen, or whatever I was last looking at there. (I seem to remember that it also clears the filters, but I can't swear to that.)

Yup. I'm having all these problems as well.
In addition, on the Mac version, at least, the arrow keys and spacebar (for scrolling) are non-functional. Be nice to be able to use the down arrow to scroll. |

Shop player around - scroll bar not "sticking"
Worked for OOTP2007/8, doesn't work in OOTP9.
In the Shop Player Around screen: The right side of the screen shows a list of players other teams would be willing to trade for the player you are shopping around. If there are a lot of players in the list, a scroll bar will appear. The scroll bar doesn't "stick" correctly when clicking on a player in that list and then going back to that list. It doesn't remember where you last clicked, or where the scroll bar was, in the list of players. The scroll bar either stays at the absolute top, or absolute bottom, never in between. It seems, once you scoll to the end, click on a player, navigate back, scroll up (even to the very top), then click on another player and go back, the scroll bar gets stuck at the absolute bottom, not where you last were. This worked great in OOTP2007/8. It's not a big deal, but kind of a pain now having to scroll back to where you were each time. Last edited by dim13; 06-27-2008 at 11:10 AM. |

Problem with shop player screen
I have already installed the patch and this problem nay have been already posted but it was fixed in OOTP 9 and now it is showing up again.
I go to the shop player screen and when I view players that are being offered by other teams and then right click out the screen goes back to the top and does not freeze. This was fixed in OOTP8/9 but has come back....

I'm sorry, but I don't entirely understand your problem. When you write that "the screen goes back to the top and does not freeze," do you mean that the scrollbar on the right-hand side of the screen does not return to the position that you left it?
