I finally discovered the extent that my team been has been injured due to not realizing that "exhibition" games were taking a physical toll.
Without documentation on features like ball flight I was playing a series of exhibition games to try to set my ballpark up. By the time Markus informed us that exhibition games were causing physical strain on players it was already too late. One of my pitchers on the first day of pre-season pitched 386 innings in one day. Exacerbating the problem was the fact that the injury "INF" flag is apparently not functioning. I discovered this after one of my all star pitchers got unmercifully shelled for no good reason. After the game I looked at his physical status in Editor mode. Boy was I surprised. He had been pitching with a fractured elbow and the roster gave no indication that he was injured. I started looking at the rest of my apparently healthy team and discovered that about 90% had debilitating injuries - and all with no injury indication. Additionally I discovered that all of their injury proneness had increased by about 500%. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() PS: There was one upside - Earlier in the evening, after working about 2 hours to finish up my ball flight grids (my eyes were burning and carpal syndrome on my mouse hand was setting in) the game crashed and I had to redo the 2 hours of work all over. I was really angry about that until the discovery that my team had been destroyed took my mind off of it.

I thought that exhibition games gave fatigue, but didn't give injuries. Were any of your players injured in-game?
Can you post a screenshot of your roster without the injured label and then a screenshot of a player who is injured but without the injured label

The injured flag is not showing up as the injury has 0 days to run. Also, the injury shown there is always the last injury the player received no matter how long ago it occurred.

I'm wondering if a player is getting an injury in an exhibition game, but it's not giving it any duration as per Markus's view on it, but it's doing all the rest of the injury stuff.

In my frustration I've gone in and deleted most of the injuries, but I don't recall seeing any that had a duration other than "0."

It does appear to be a problem. I've logged it as BZ 1565, with a note asking for Markus to explain if possible how the 'lack of injuries' in an exhibition game actually works as it appears to be just by setting the length to 0.

Since I was still in the preseason, I decided to remount my 2007 saved game into OOPT9, but I only did this after satisfying myself that I could re-import all the ball flight grid data that I had spent about 20 hours on. I simply copied over the Parks.dat file from my corrupted saved game.

Apparently injuries do NOT occur in Exhibition matches. I don't think this is true and I'm still of a mind that Injury Proneness is definitely increasing.
