BZ 1713: Tweaked Defensive ratings revert back

I created a "no hit/all-field" shortstop. When the next season flipped over his defensive ratings went back to his original ratings (scouting is off). I then tried this with other fictional players and the same thing happens; the tweaked defensive ratings go back to the original ratings. This can get frustrating when creating defensive specialists in fictional leagues.

Huh. That's very odd. Could you explain exactly what process you used to tweak these defensive ratings and exactly when they reverted to their previous values?

I used the editor tab on the player screen to change a players attributes.

For example, I created a shortstop named Marcos Salinas.
His original ratings:
40 Range/35 Error/53 Arm/41 DP's
I changed them to:
95 Range/80 Error/90 arm/90 Dp's

On the day after the World Series they changed back to the 40/35/53/41 original ratings.

I created a couple of new games one with fictional players and one with historical players and changed their attributes and abilities around and on the day after the World Series in both games their defensive abilities revert back to the original settings.

This only happens to the defensive ratings and not any other ability or attribute.

Markus states that this is intentional with the recalc function enabled.
