BZ 1809: Wild Card Team Gets Home Field Advantage
I know this was discussed in this thread:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...f-seeding.html And I don't know if it was supposed to be addressed in any patches, but the 9.12 version of the game is still assigning home field advantage in the playoffs wrong. I won the AL East with my Yankees, with a record of 88-74. My first round opponent was the Texas Rangers, who won the wild card with an identical record of 88-74. The Rangers got home field advantage. This wouldn't be quite such a crucial situation in a 7 game series, but in a 5 game series it's very hard to overcome. |

I see in the original thread they mentioned using custom playoffs, but the seeding seemed to work in OOTP8 no problem, so using the standard playoff shouldn't cause this problem in the latest version.

I agree. It shouldn't have happened. And of course my team only managed one win and were out of the playoffs, 3 games to 1. Here are a couple of screenshots:

Was the home field rotation for the best-of-five series 2-2-1 or 2-3?
