BZ 1849: fielding award winners missing in history

After simming the 1871 season I picked the award winners. I checked the league history after the 1872 preseason started and 3 of the players did not show in history. The 1871 season ended on 11/1 because the game scheduled a playoff to break the tie. This allowed some of the players to become free agents and and did not have team affiliation when I selected them for the award.

I am running 9.1.6 on XP.

A little more background on how I am simming the 1871 season. I have setup the actual teams, rosters and schedule. I left the season start at 4/1 though the first game is on 5/4 and the last game is on 10/30. The off season starts on 11/1. The retire players according to history is checked and I have disable playoffs.

I have simmed the 1871 season numerous times now and I found the issue isn't free agency but retirement. The game retires the players as soon as the off season starts and drops their team affiliation. This happens to be the before the awards are selected.
