BZ 1872: Pitcher Fatigue and Rotation
I am using a 5-man rotation and "start highest rested starter". All starters have a 10 endurance. My #4 pitcher threw 107 pitches yesterday and is "70%-slightly tired". My #3 pitcher threw 103 pitches 2 days ago and is "100%-rested".
Also the rotation says to start the #5 pitcher even though the #1, #2, and #3 pithers are all "100%-rested". I am playing a historical league in 1951 using version 9.1.6. |

On which scale? 1-10?
When you write that "the rotation says to start the #5 pitcher", what do you mean exactly? Will the AI actually have the #5 starter pitch, or does the Pitching tab simply have the fifth starter marked as starting next? |

Yes When you write that "the rotation says to start the #5 pitcher", what do you mean exactly? Will the AI actually have the #5 starter pitch, or does the Pitching tab simply have the fifth starter marked as starting next? Both. The pitching tab show the fifth starter and this is indeed the starter when you go to play the game. I have since, played on and it seems that the fatigue is not right. I don't think a pitcher should be fully rested two days after throwing in excess of 100 pitches. Also, in continuing, the AI is acting as though "strict order" has been chosen for the rotation mode. Has never skipped the next sequential starter even with off days and higher ranked starter being fully rested. Perhaps it just says the starter is fully rested when in fact he is not?? I am wondering about this because in playing the game, I have had a starter still be OK (at least that is what it says) after throwing 120 pitches. |

Hrm. I'm curious. Can you go into the player Editor tab in commish mode and let us know what the actual (1-250) value of the endurance of these pitchers are? Anything above 200 wouldn't show as higher than 10 on the 1-10 scale.

SP endurance - #1-195, #2-207, #3-185, #4-196, #5-197.
After further playing, I have found that if I change the sequence in the pitching screen, players will be skipped and used in order other than the strict sequence. I now believe the game engine is functioning correctly but the info displayed on the player profile screen is not correct. Two examples from the profile screen are: #3 is "99%-Rested" after throwing 100 pitches 2 days ago #4 is "100%-Rested" after thowing 112 pitches 3 days ago Also my closer (endurance 51) has never been anything other than "100%-Rested" according to the profile screen even though he pitched 4 out of 6 days in one stretch. In addition when playing the game, when you go to the pitcher's profile screen, no status shows. I don't believe this is the way it used to be. It makes it difficult to know what to do and when to pull a pitcher. |

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. However, I'm not seeing that sort of issue in my own (fictional) league. Can you please upload a zipped copy of your .dat files and let us know the filename per the following instructions:
