BZ 1909: game creates its own teams

My college feeder leagues suddenly have new teams that the game has apparently created on its own. These new teams appear in the league schedule, and their players are listed among the league leaders, but they're not in the standings or on the league structure page. I'd like to get rid of them, but I can't figure out how.

Which version of OOTP are you using and which version of OOTP was your saved game universe originally created in? When you created this league, did you delete any teams at any point? Did this league run for a number of seasons without this problem?

I'm using 9.0.26. The universe was originally created in OOTP 8 (not sure exactly which one), although I only added the feeder leagues in OOTP 9. I haven't deleted any teams since setting up the league structure (at which point, I played around a lot, since some of my college leagues only have five or six teams), and this is the first regular season that I'll have the college leagues for.
