BZ 2014: While creating the game write-ups, Player Report Pops Up Out of the Blue

While creating the game recap write-up, player reports will suddenly pop up when I click the cursor on the "Write Game Recap" screen.

I am using the 9.2.13 version.

Is this a known bug?

Occasionally I click in the game recap write-up screen and the OOTPB Forums pop up.

This did not happen in V2007.

I have just converted my league to OOTP9.

It really seems like the click on the recap screen is picking up a player's link on the boxscore window beneath it.

I can't reproduce this one, EC. Are you writing recaps from the schedule screen or directly at the end of a game?

Because you're notorious for lagging behind, are you using 9.2.13?

There were some issues in older versions with some links being accessed incorrectly.

I write the recaps immediately after the end of the game. I also go back and sometimes edit the recaps from the schedule screen. I think it does it on both screens. I am not the only one it has happened to. 1998 Yankees confirmed he has the same problem.

Please note I posted in the first post that I am using 9.2.13.

I use the blue skin, if that could make a difference, but it also does it with the default skin...classic skin, I think.

I only lag behind on my own personal league. I only play my league with a stable game... about a month after the final patch.

I always use the latest build in testing and proofing the News and PBP, but not in my own personal league.

I did not write any recaps during the Beta testing. I only proof the News and PBP during Beta as well as write news stories and PBP items. During Beta I do not have any time for my own personal league. Plus, I don't want to run the risk of losing it or corrupting it with bugs or problems in the new version.

Hrm. Which screen resolution are you using? Are you using windowed or full screen mode? Which operating system are you using?

I think it is the windowed mode. OOTPB doesn't cover my entire screen.

I have Windows XP.

Sorry, don't know the screen resolution.

Where would I find that info?

If in windowed mode, let's go with window size. From the title screen, Game Preferences -> Window Size.

Ah heck. For monitor resolution, right-click on the desktop, select Properties, then the Settings tab, and it should be listed under Screen resolution.

Windowed.

1028 x 768.

I got it from Game Preference screen.

Using the blue skin on Windows XP with the game run in 1024x768 windowed mode, I can often reproduce this one by repeatedly clicking on the recap box.

Switching to modern skin changed nothing. Switching back to windowed 1280x1024 made the problem happen much less frequently, but I can still rarely create the issue by spam-clicking on the text box.

This is an entirely different issue than BZ 1447 and various incorrect links from the button links on the bottom of the screen.
