CubbyFan23's 2006 MLB Rosters (v1.0) -- LINK INSIDE
Apologies for the long wait, hopefully its worth it.
![]() NOTE: These work for both OOTP 6 and OOTP 6.5 Please PM me with anything you notice that is an error instead of clogging up this thread with it. Hopefully there isn't much, but I'll get ahold of it much better that way. That includes any guys who are listed as playing for more than one team in '06, tried to edit them all so they'd be fixed as to just one team, but I might have missed a few (ex: if a guy has CHN, STL for his '06 stat line) Other things to keep an eye on include potential ratings for ANYONE who seem to be off. Mainly major league vets who have talent ratings way too high or too low. I think I caught a lot of them, but there are still some that eluded me. Also noticed I missed a few relievers who should have low stamina that had high and were being made starters (only two, Dempster and Jenks) but if you notice any others that I didn't fix (fixed them) let me know. Service time should be close to correct for ALL players. I can't edit the days, only the years unfortunatly, so I had to go with whatever was closest to the next whole number. Again, notice anything here and PM me about it. CubbyFan23 Version 1.5 Rosters UPDATED: - Player ratings adjusted - Team attendence is accurate as of '05, as well as updated fan interest, city size, etc. - Hitting coaches, pitching coaches, scouts, major league managers accurate - League totals adjusted - Stadiums all re-named - All free agent signings and trades up to 11:30 PM CT on January 5 - Other random stuff that needed fixing that I'm forgetting, some salary problems, adjusted a lot on Boston per the numerous Red Sox fan requests, including the Orioles and Red Sox top 10 prospects... - Haven't figured out a fix for the service time in the old old guys. If you're really worried about it in online leagues, I'd just suggest extending the length of the contract on the few guys effected to 2-3 years so they're covered until they retire - Adjusted the development curve slightly A note on the league totals, they are looking pretty solid for the '06 season, I'd suggest keeping them like they are by default when you download them, I was just hitting auto-adjust for the next few years (07, 08, 09) and the numbers looked great. I'd suggest doing this. http://www.thelifetvshow.com/ootp/CubbyFanRoster.zip UNZIP this to your OOTP directory/leaguename.lg ... feel free to name the league whatever the heck you want. Its really small, so hopefully there's no problems with it. I always suck at doing this part. ![]() If someone could host this elsewhere on one of our fine OOTP Mods sites, so it doesn't eat all the bandwidth, it would be much appreciated. ![]() Enjoy! Post any and all thoughts!

why is it a rar rather than a zip file?
i would think more people know how to handle zips than rars...for example, i'm now downloading winace just to get your file. Just a thought/suggestion.

if nobody else does it, after his 1.5 release I'll convert it to a zip file and offer it to Jeremy or whoever else so it can be used by more people.

Few notes from what I've seen as I get to look at the test sims a bit more:
I suggest dropping down bunting, stealing, hit and runs to not often on the era editor. I didn't do this, and the steals are a bit too high. Happy with the ratings, not the results there, I'm going to test that a bit more and it'll be fixed in the upcoming release. Strikeouts are too high as well in pitchers, not in hitters. Not sure how to fix this other than tone down the guys who are getting too many. Will be working on this as well. All the other numbers look to be right around where I want them I think. |

Things that will be fixed on tomorrow's file:
Correct stadium names Correct coaching / front office names Fix the service time bug that is resetting service time for some older players Updated prospects via. BaseballAmerica's rankings of the top guys in each league Adjusted ratings for some of the top players in the league to get totals a bit more correct Lowered "stuff" ratings across the board for lower strikeout totals leaguewide EDIT PT2: Apparently the service time is not saving when I advance one day with these rosters for some of the really really old guys that I had to re-import through the database. Its not a HUGE deal, because after year one, there is only about 15-20 of these players left, but is still a bit of a pain. Anyone know a good fix or if there is one? At first glance over my beloved Jays I must say, very nice!
The only thing that caught my eye (you knew this was coming!) is John McDonalds range at shortstop. He's actually one of the more outstanding defensive replacement type players I'm personally seen recently. In point of fact, I expect to see him doing ALOT of late inning defence replacements for the Jays middle-infield this season, especially with the absolutely amazing ODog (Orlando 'I make all the out's from 1st to Short to shallow leftfield' Hudson) moving on to Arizona. |

Second release of the file will be in this thread tonight.
I think you guys will be even more happy with stats AFTER the '06 season, although with the new League Totals I've put in for the '06 season they look great. Guys' stats are looking just how I would expect them to be down the line as I've reached '09 by now. (John Mayberry Jr. has ended up being a beast)... Updates soon, I appreciate all of your guys support. Reminds me why I do this stuff in the first place.
