WrightWing's Historical Facepack 2.2 Released
File is up at jazzrack's great site http://jazzrack.us/corporate/?page_id=93
This is an update only file and players can just be dumped into their respective folders in the 2.0 version. 888 more players who debuted from 1920-1949 are in this update. The total number for my facepack should be at 8,993 players. Files are JPG format. Here is the update breakdown by decade 1870s--172 players--900 minimum career Games Played/Innings Pitched 1880s--194 players--same 1890s--175 players--same 1900s--442 players--same 1910s--388 players--800 GP/IP 1920s--528 players--100 GP/IP 1930s--567 players--same 1940s--594 players--same 1950s--621 players--same 1960s--830 players--same 1970s--868 players--same 1980s--942 players--same 1990s--1,485 players--50 GP/IP 2000s--1,187 players--1 GP/IP Now the bad news. As I get to older and/or more obscure players, picture quality will suffer somewhat. My fear about not finding photos for players has been realized as about 60 players in this update are the dreaded unknown player. Still, I have photos for about 8920 players out of the 8993 in the facepack, so it is actually a better percentage than I thought when I started on this adventure. Thanks to Carlton for the motivation and, of course, to jazzrack for the hosting. I am now off to to the dead-ball era for the next update... |
