CubbyFan's Pre-Opening Day Rosters Soon to be Released...

Hey guys,

Back home for the next two weeks, so the good news for you guys is that the rosters are going to be going full bore until done now.

This includes a ton of rating changes, prospects added/updated to reflect current rankings, all roster moves, etc.

This will be the thread to get them! Any suggestions or problems, please put them in here (outside of what I mentioned above)

make sure though that player's current rating are matched with their ages eexcept for few guys. I notice that people like Carlos Quentin or a lot of guys that I haven't checked yet who are way underdeveloped for their age... and shouldn't be.

In atl's defense you NEED people to be somewhat critical in order to tweak it some. However, I don't agree with that criticism because cubbyfan said in his post that was one of the things he was tweaking.

I can't find the last roster set I put out with the fixed service times. Oops? Can someone send that to me?

I think this what you are talking about. How long do you think it will be? I help run a league and they are restarting and looking for new and good rosters and would like to use these if out soon ehough

I wouldn't imagine any longer than a week for the first updated file....

Was the service time actually fixed for you guys when you downloaded the files? From what I've downloaded from my old copies, something must have gotten messed up, because the service time is still off. I'm going through and fixing that first, and then will be getting to the roster moves / BA Top 10/100s

On a side note, the amateur draft in 2006 will include 2006 prospects from high school and college, so that should be a nice little extra for you guys.

Even more random info as I think of it will be here:

Fixing a lot of stuff with PRO TIME (which effects minor league free agents and such, wasn't right in the old one) so that guys who are 20 don't have 5 years pro-time. Also fixing a lot of the problems on options. These aren't all concrete though as I have to use best judgement on some (there is no listing of these things out there). If you see something after the next release that makes you scratch your head, please let me know.

That's the same reason I'm doing it.

Got through fixing service time, pro time, etc. (again) last night in the AL, doing the NL today and then its on to fixing everything else!

All of BA's Top 100 prospects (and top 10 for each team) have been added and/or tweaked. All moves should be current as of tomorrow, and I am planning on a release tomorrow night. I was going to throw the thread into the main OOTP forums, as I'm not sure anyone checks these much anymore. Is this frowned upon?

They are looking GREAT. The computer AI is using the lineups pretty close to how the MLB teams will, with a few annoying exceptions (carrying a ton of OFs or infielders is one!) But that's usually just for the 25th man and not a huge deal if they carry a 2B over a 5th OF initially.

Tested the roster last night... yields up pretty good numbers IMO.

I know this has been mentionned before, but you don't seem to be a big fan of Jason Bay... and Rafael Furcal.

Also, may I suggest that Cubbyfan is a little biased on Mark Prior not being injury prone!

But don't get me wrong, Cubby, or anyone here waiting for a good set, these rosters look terrific.

Thanks a lot for all the time invested in that!!
