Having trouble with this request

Someone in my league switched teams (it's a real players league where you signup and create the attributes etc. for your player and it's created).

He wants the logo on the hat and the logo in the upper left of the card to be the new one I'm attaching. When I did it, it seemed like it didn't fit together well because it was too bright compared to the rest of the player's uniform.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you have some pointers that would help out a bunch too.

First thing I do is use the smudge tool to wipe out the existing logo. I usually create a duplicate layer first, that way I can correct any mistakes easily.

Then it is just a matter of clearing the black around the logo with the magic wand. Resize and place the logo where you want it.

For the hat you do the same, but rotate the logo and skew it to match the correct perspective. I usually change the opacity to about 75% so it does not stick out so bright on the hat.
