It looks awesome Pepe.
I hate to even add anything, but I will even though I could never do anything that good. I would make the outside lines a little bit thicker to help with the contrast and also so that if you shrink it for ootp they will still show up. |

That is an excellent logo. No if ands or buts. I especially like that it breaks out of the ball-logo template that has been used to create a number of logos on these threads (note: I am NOT knocking the ball-logos in any way. I love them and use many of them in my own leagues. All I'm saying is that I am delighted when non-ball-logos pop up for a little spice.)

I don't see any way to improve it. knuckler's suggestion may be a good one, if it looks differently when made smaller for the game. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-19-2006 at 12:45 AM. |

i´m using an tryout Version of Illustrator, but i guess any Vector Programm will work for this one as well. Some use Corel Draw which is very similar to Illustrator. Don´t know if can buy Illustrator (expensive ) but the Tryout is okay to see what you can do.And thx for the nice Feedback, if anyone here know to make the Text look like a Sport logo i would be more than happy (maybe Cuss !? ) regards Pepe P.s i will Post my second Logo in the next Reply |

But not my type...I like the traditional type logo...this is a little too evil for me. But as always, you are a very talented logo and banner designer...one of the best on the forum. |

Nice work pepeda, great first try, much much better than what I came up with on my first go. I don't really know what makes a logo looks more sports like, I am just not a good teacher. I would say that try and make it more than just a line of text. Try to somehow relate the meaning of the text to the characters. So in this case, you may wish to add a wing on the "s" or may arch the line of text so it looks like the curve on a wing?
Don't worry if you don't understand what I am saying because just reading my own post again, I am not even sure what I mean myself. Like I said I am a horrible teacher. Again great work and I am sure you will find your way to improve the logo if you just keep working on it.

Pepe, great work! One other thing is your hawk is sharp and crisp. Make your text likewise. Try and use sweeping curves with sharp corners. Also make the text wider than the logo, it will give a better flow. Just a suggestion. Nice first stab.

i guess its hard in the start, but i will try to improve. When i see your work, i actually feel like a little boy, your work is more than amazing. On the other side your work is a great guidline to work with. Maybe you could send me your artwork as eps file so i can look at your technic. But if you don´t want to give away your work i will also understand it. Thx for the help ![]() Quote:
thx for the suggestion, i will give it a try. I think the Text Layout is one of the trickier Part of the Logo Design , (my opinion). I will have to learn a lot till they look as good as other ones. Thats why i like this Forum, great Feedback from all and pointers to improve the work. I like it ![]() Thx Guys keep up the good job here. regards Pepe Last edited by pepeda; 05-20-2006 at 04:57 PM. |
