I am looking for a logo for the Hawaii Island Warriors. I like the colors of the university of Hawaii, Black and Hunter Green, butother than that I have no ideas. If anybody would like to take a swing at this one it would be great...thanks

I just started cleaning up the tiki face (it would end up in the shape of a rectangle), but I'll gladly finish it if this is something you like.

Don't mean to offend, this is just my opinion, you need to use a few lighter colors so there will be better contrast with the darker ones. For instance in the Hawaii logo, try to make the team name and nickname in white or light yellow for contrast. It is hard to read in black. Notice how knuckler used colors on his logo posted in Post #2. It is very easy to read because it has good contrast between the dark and light colors. I have a few questions about your request though: Do you want the logo to read Hawaii Island Warriors Or Hawaiian Islands Warriors If the color or contrast are not OK let me know too.

I also have trouble matching my clothes sometimes and have to ask my wife : "Does this shirt go with my Dockers honey?" I think I will run anything I do by you first so the colors are right and match. How about a white stroke around the black font, will that work?

They won the Kansas 5A State Championship by a score of 1-0. A nailbiter to the end. The game that led up to the championship game went 10 innings and ended up 2-1. My sisters played 3b and 1b. and yes I am very proud of them.

I can't make logos, but I usually know a good one when I see it. These are very good...the white lettering really stands out now. IMO it is far, far better. But it is not my request thread. It is Commish that has to like it. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-29-2006 at 10:21 PM. |

I think rocknfire7 is a lot like both of you...in temperament...and he is putting out some good logos, too. He is very creative...just has to work on his colors and color contrasts. You and Pepe are two of the best logo designers we have...and we have had a bunch of them in the last 3 years. But you and he have stayed...and gotten better. Keep up the great work. I know I am not in the same league as Pepe, Knuckler and company but a lot of what I do right now is from PM's asking for my style of logo. See the Pilotman thread I also did several logos of that style for an on-line Mexican League.
