Renumbering photos

Does anyone know of a program that can quickly renumber the photos in a folder so that they will be usable in the game? for instance, if I have a folder of photos with various names and want them to be renamed p1, p2, ... p2000, is there a program that can do this quickly. I've been doing it by making batch files, but this is kind of tedious and has to be done differently for each instance. Any ideas?

The utility that comes in TigerFan's .zip files of real players (can't recall the name, and I've deleted it from my hard drive) will do this quickly and easily. You need to rename the .jpg's to .bmp's and this does that fast and easily.

IrfanView

I believe IrfanView will do this and it's free. Download it at www.irfanview.com

OldGiants...the software you're thinking of is Batch Thumbs. It is awesome, and I used it for EXACTLY what the original poster is wanting to do. Very quick, very easy.

PowerRen 2000 was one I used last year and worked fine. Not sure where I got it from, but a search should pull it up for you.
