cato?
I have some questions about the Cato Utility......
When do I have to run it? Can it be run in the middle of a season or does it have to be before I hit proceed to next season? Also, I'm already quite a few years into my league, can I still use it or is this something that has to be run from year 1? When I tried to run it last night, I had just got everything ready to go in my current season, but no games were played. When I ran it, the program generated some folders, but they were all empty. (I did use Commish Joe's exporter to create all of the csv files before I ran the history utility) If this utility can't be used in the middle of a league, is there one that will work for this? Thanks. |

You have to run it after the last game of the World Series and before you click on PROCEED TO NEXT YEAR.
I`m not sure I understand what you mean with - you had a league, but no games were played - of course no records are there to be kept and the website folder is empty. If you desire is to watch the batting averages fluctuate from one game or week to the next you have to stick to the record keeping within OOTP5. Besides you wouldn`t want to run OOTP HIstory several times during a season as it lasts about 40 minutes for a new league and more as the league gets older and more recors are kept (PIII 800MHZ)-.

Well, it will only have team, league, leaderboard,... pages for the last season. Player pages, however, can have previous years stats if you also use CommishJoe's career exporter.

Hi,
I just found your Gazette utility. I love the whole idea of it. But I am having trouble. Does this work with OOTP5? If not, I may be wasting my time. If it does, well I am getting stopped when I try to link to location of league files.

It does not work with OOTP5 and I'm not sure when/if I'll be able to update it.
