Anyone up for a 70s logo set?
I've bitched about the lack of "real" utilities in this mod forum, but I want to contribute, and I'm a big fan of the 70's logos. Anyone else here interested in me continuing? I did 3 so far (I would try to mix "real" ones from the time with some created by me).

The worst of the 3, in my opinion. Please let me know what you think, if I should continue or should just leave it at that as they suck

The LA one is different.. but I think you should go on and continue. No one else is doing it. Why not?

I am not a big fan of the LA one but the other two are great. Please keep them coming.

Go for it. Though I already see the one I wanted to see. Thanks for the Astros logo.

The LA was different because frankly, I didn't know how to do it

2 hits in 3 tries would be great in any league...even the the graphics world.
Keep 'em coming.... The LA is not as good as the first two. I have an all-time all-star league with 4 Leagues and 80 teams... I can find most logos, but will probably need some for the teams I created. Would you want to design some? I have a major league team with farm teams in AAA, AA and A. (I manually promote and demote players from one league to another once a year...so I can play out my minor league games). To help me know which farm team's parent team is I give nicknames associated with the major league team. For example: The Boston Red Sox have farm teams...San Jose Gold Soxx...Charlotte Blue Sox...and Reno Silver Sox. The Atlanta Crackers (a bum) have the Dallas Hobos...Richmond Roadrunners...and Jacksonville Beachcombers. |

LL: Yes, I somewhat agree it's not the best one, I'll try doing a new one, but LA just won't look too good I think.
Couriers: I base myself on some of these... I just find some of them to be a bit bland. Take the Braves for example, I modified it all. My goal wasn't to put real 70s logo for all teams, just to create something with a 70s vibe. The rainbow isn't dead-on.... the width of the stripes isn't the same proportions as the ol' jerseys.

The LA one may be better without the line all the way across:

Eh. It's still nothing spectacular. You're right though - it's better, but personally, I'm not all that crazy about it even without the line.
I certainly do like the others, though. And I don't really care if their exact replicas of the real logos, just as long as it looks nice, which they do. Good work, keep em' comin'.

I am aware of that... please read what I said twice about emulating historical MLB logos.
Besides, I've never seem a rainbow logo before this one

LLN, I like what you've done with the Braves and Astros, please keep 'em coming!
