historical add on question...
So I decided that I want to try my first historical league and I want to start in 1950. Is there any way at all or any add on that I could use to get the career leader board to include the actual retired players in 1950? in other words, is it possible to get the career leaders board to look as it did in 1950?
I'm guessing no, but just curious, is it even possible? thanks for any help. c-man |

yeah it's possible. go to www.baseball-reference.com where they have a section under the leader boards called "evolution of leaders". There you can find who was leading what in 1950. Any players that you want to be on your leaderboard that retired prior to 1950, manually import them from the lahman database using their last year in the bigs. then edit them to have a career ending injury so they won't be picked up by any teams.
I believe this should work. Someone may be able to explain a bit clearer than I was able to. |
