Question about OOTPHISTORY 5.2

I just ran my 1923 season using the great utility and I ran into a minor (hopefully) problem.

After all was said and done for the importing for the '23 season, I got a 'Runtime 5' error. This came up when the game was compacting the database so I figure I can just keep going with no problems. I closed it after hitting ok for the error and then reopened the history program and just went ahead and entered all the info like always... (awards and such)

I am now wondering if that is ok or not? Will my history file be corrupt at all?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

That's odd. Do you have a file called temp.mdb in the same folder as your database? What was the name of your database? Did it have any special characters in it (dashes,...)?

I had this happen a few time with 5.0 and never had any problems

I have had this happen all the time with various versions, started whenever it started trade splits. I believe the only thing this error causes is that the database doesn't actually get compacted, I have outputted numerous seasons after getting this error and not noticed any problems with it.

This is the first season and as far as I can tell all of the files that are needed are in the right places because fom 1905 thru 1922 it worked fine.

I named the file hob.mdb or whatever the file extension is called. The file is simple at hob so thart shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the reply. I am sure it'll be ok but I just wanted to make sure.
