Hey Shub I just got PSP 8 today and am working some stuff on it getting the hang of it. What PSP sites were you talking about?

here's a couple good links, I'm still using psp7 but I'm pretty sure that 95% of it is the same thing

this one has good stuff on psp8 and is probably the best site out there:

this one has some stuff and forums where people are very helpful:

Thanks for the info Shub. My biggest problem with text is making it so it doesn't look so pixelated at larger sizes. I prefer a smoother looking text and will sometimes get rid of text and go plain if I can't get the desired outcome.

I don't have that problem with psp because I always work on an image at the final size, meaning that I always start on my logos on a canvas sized at 150x150, then I have a perfect view of what the final pic will look like. So if my text is too pixelated or blocky (I just made up that word I think) I can change the texture, fill, or stroke, and then smooth out my edges all in a few clicks to get just what I want. You can download the 30 day trial of psp and try it first if you haven't already.

you know I was just thinking...do I sound like a salesman for psp or what? I'm not trying to say it's better than photoshop, it's just what I prefer, plus because I bought it brand new on eBay for 25 bucks a year ago.

My 30 day trial period has just ended today. I plan on trying out the newest version and then making a decision as to which one to buy next month. I am not an artist by any means so learning all the different functions will take me a while. This is merely a hobby or a past time in the least right now.
