Request for 1930'sish logos

Hey! I've seen the great work you guys can do, and I was wondering if you could design me a set of eight 1930ish logo to use with my fictional league.

My teams:
St. Louis Perfectos
Chicago Dukes
Cleveland Chiefs
Cincinatti Bandits
New York Americans
Brooklyn Atlantics
Boston Sailors
Philadelphia Grays

Thanks,
Zack

Zack, if you don't mind, I would love to see your 30's ones when they are done. I am thinking of starting an historical/fictional league solo mode and I hope to at least like to see what you get...I would like to see what happens!

If you guys KNEW how many icons/logos I have on this stupid computer......geez. I wish I could do more than take city names off of certain icons..... You guys ALL rock!

I'd like to try these but I'm not sure when I can get to them... if you don't get something else first, I'll see what I can do.

Does this look old-school-1930ish enough for you? I tried to go with that old fashioned flat basic color look. If that sample is good enough for you, I could get the whole set to have that same feel.

Not sure how 1930'ish this looks, but I thought I'd go ahead and give the Chiefs a try.

Hey dbacks, I like it. That's definitely old school. Even looks like we're rolling along with the same sort of look.

Here's one I found on accident of a real New York Americans (NHL) that existed from 1925 to 1942. This logo was used in the mid-late 1930's. I don't take any credit for this logo (just finding it ), but I did resize it to 150 x 150 just in case you want to use it.

Huh. Yeah, looking back and comparing the two, it does sort of, doesn't it?

BTW, if I were goroyals, I'd definitely go with your Americans logo. I think it's quite nice, and just posted the real one for the heck of it.

I can't say that I really know what a Duke is, and I didn't think you'd want a picture of John Wayne, so here's an idea for now...

lol, shub, I was trying to figure out what to do for the Dukes myself.

I was actually working on one (well, at least trying to figure out what to work on), but I think yours is pretty good right there.

You guys are doing great !! Definately 30s

By the way - another idea for the Dukes might be a tophat & cane

Henry

ps: Dying to see what you come up with for the Perfectos LOL... you could have a cigar swinging a bat, but that wouldn't look 30s... might have to use a latin-based text script.

Alright, I'm not real keen on history, and I'm not sure if the Grays would have been a Revolutionary or Civil War thing, and I didn't want to chicken out and just give you a big gray P, so here's what I got-

Wow, for the most part these logos are very good representatives of what I would expect logos from that era might look like. Great work, fellas!!

I'm sure Shub's working on something, but personally, I have no idea what to do for the Perfectos.
