I'm still working on doing individual player histories for current MLB players . (For fans of this project, no, I don't have an ETA yet. Nearly done the American League though.)

What I'm concerned with - currently I'm tagging the number of the player history .txt file based on the number of the player in GForce's roster. This is great, as long as you're using GForce's set unmodified. If you're using a different set, or messing with it at all, you'll have players linked to the wrong files.

Ideally this is where somebody makes a utility. I'm starting every history with, example:
Barry Bonds - born xx/xx/xxxx.

So I need a utility that would search the exported files from OOTP for player name and ID number, and match that player name to the name in the history file, then rename the history file so that the numbers match up. I'd then want to include this with my player histories, so that anyone using MLB players can use the histories.

Additionally if you're a glutton for punishment, you could make a utility to manage/reorder the line items in the history file. This would let people, say, order everything chronologically, or by type of accomplishment, and resort it as new line items are added by OOTP. That would be a cool utility. I was thinking of doing a project with fictional history files, but have been turned off by this.

If someone does this, I would suggest matching name and birthday to ensure you don't match up on the wrong name (name can never be counted on as being unique).

Sorry, pointless post, but I wanted to bump again, as I would like to use something like this to modify histories in my fictional league.
