OOTP History Manager Pages
For those who use Cato's utility does anyone know how to fix a manager page that shows the wrong manager? I retired myself after I got fired and started a new manager career using the same name (my own) but now when you click on the name to get to the manager page it directs you to the retired manager. Anyone encounter this and is there any fix for it?

You will need to change your name slightly if you want it to be considered 2 different names by the app. Try calling yourself by your name with the number "2" at the end of the last name, like Harmon Killebrew2. OOTP History will then treat it like a unique new manager.

If you don't have all the required files to re-import and start over then if you had the OFFICE 2000 version of MS Access (or maybe other versions of MS Access too, I forget the final word on that) then you could edit the manager names in the Access MDB files and that should work too. |

Would this work for ONLY the managers? Can that method be extended to the history of the league (adding stats, postseason, etc) for years missed?
I know of another method, but that still won't input everything I want. -John |

Tip: Make sure you back up a working version of the DB before you edit, in case you accidently cause a DB error. It would also be a great idea to try your edits on one season first, then try top output the OOTP History html to make sure you are on the right track. Don't do 10 seasons of manual post season stats before you find out it does not work - ouch .

What I'm missing is four seasons out of 104, including 1901 (my first year). It would be a massive job; I do have the HTML files, and Wallman's utility set up, so I do have something I can work on.
Thanks 'Brew. Once I get my files together, I'll begin work on them. Thanks. -John |
